Malcolm has worked at the forefront of educational innovation for over 40 years, embracing primary and secondary education, youth work and adult education. He has been a registered OFSTED inspector, local authority inspector, school improvement partner, NPQH assessor, and national adviser for specialist schools. He has led a wide range of school and community education initiatives as well as programmes of international professional development for school leaders. Malcolm is a founder director of the ground-breaking research and development network, Schools of Tomorrow. He holds a doctorate in school leadership at the University of Warwick, is the author of ‘Regenerating Schools’ and co-author of ‘Leadership for Tomorrow’ and ‘Flipping Schools'. John is an independent writer, teacher and consultant in education leadership with a particular interest in leadership learning and development and innovative approaches to learning in schools and communities. He has been a schoolteacher, teacher trainer, education officer and has held posts in six universities. John is the author co-author or editor of 31 books including Understanding Leadership, Leadership for Tomorrow and Flipping Schools! He has worked in 27 countries from Iceland to New Zealand and Thailand to the USA. He is now an Honorary Professor at the University of Worcester and Visiting Professorat the University of Suffolk.
